An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Medical Education Team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, where we are excited to recruit a proactive and detail driven Medical Education Data Quality Officer.

This pivotal role supports high quality training for our postgraduate and undergraduate learners by leading the end to end management of education data--ensuring accuracy, driving service improvements, and shaping evidence based decisions across the department.

Working closely with educators, clinical leaders, and external bodies such as NHSE and the GMC, you will play a key part in strengthening our training environment and supporting excellence across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Medical Education Data Quality Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality medical education across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH), serving both postgraduate and undergraduate learners.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of education-related data, including the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of key metrics that inform training quality and learner experience. Using tools such as Excel, SQL, and other data platforms, the postholder monitors feedback from training surveys, performance outcomes, and exam results to identify trends, highlight areas for improvement, and support continuous quality enhancement. They produce tailored reports for a range of stakeholders--including college tutors, postgraduate specialty leads, Training Programme Directors and external regulatory bodies--ensuring that insights are clear, actionable, and aligned with strategic goals.

The officer also ensures data integrity and compliance with relevant policies, such as GDPR, and contributes to the development of data dashboards and visualizations that support evidence-based decision-making. By maintaining robust data systems and collaborating closely with education teams, the role helps shape and sustain a learning environment that meets the evolving needs of medical trainees and supports DBTH's commitment to excellence in Education and Research.
