An exciting opportunity has arisen fora Head of Elective Care at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
This is a key position within the Chief Operating Officer Leadership team to support the delivery of high quality, productive and efficient services that are innovative and responsive. This will include the operational leadership of specific improvement programmes.
Please note that interviews will be held on 28th August and 1st September 2025
Main duties of the job
The overriding purpose of the role is to support the provision of timely access to the highest quality patient care through professional operational and strategic leadership and management actions creating a culture of continuous improvement in accordance with NHS management standards.

- Subject matter expertise in Elective Care, Cancer and Diagnostics, including related national rules / reporting requirements
- Proven track record in the delivery of productivity and efficiency improvements in elective care
- Proven track record of leading the delivery of timely access to care to meet national access standards.
- Proven track record in elective care service improvement and / or transformation

- Experience in demand and capacity modelling
- Experience in Consultant job planning, aligned to demand and capacity modelling, to meet service needs
