We are looking for Newly Qualified Nurses who are due to complete their studies/training and are available to start by November 2025.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the nursing team you will deliver a high standard of nursing care based on the theory of family centred care. You will be expected to act as a role model and work with the multidisciplinary team within the division ensuring that a high standard of holistic care is maintained for all children, neonates and their families. You are expected to participate in education and will be supported by our education team with your own continued professional development.

  • Student Nurse working towards RN Child NMC Registration
  • Achievement of clinical skills of practice for venepuncture or willingness to undertake within three months of appointment

Desirable

  • Demonstrate professional development post-registration

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working with children and families within a health care setting or similar environ-ment
  • Experience of working with children and young people with developmental delay and/or complex health needs
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Participation in data collection and audit activities

Desirable

  • Experience of carrying out clinical procedures e.g. venepuncture
  • Knowledge of audit process and experience of undertaking audit and presenting findings.
  • Previous post registration on caring for children in hospital
