Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Safeguarding team as a Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Lead . The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced practitioner that is capable of positively influencing practice and competent to lead on Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence at DBTH with support from the Head / Deputy Head of Safeguarding and wider team members.
This role will require an in-depth knowledge of Domestic Abuse and associated agendas / national guidance including application of the Care Act and the Childrens Act .
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have the skills to drive forward Domestic Abuse workstreams.
Main duties of the job
At all times to work in accordance with the relevantregistered body NMC/SWE/HCPC.
Maintain registration in accordance with the relevant registered body requirements.
At all times work to National and local policy relevant to role.
Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
Lead role in Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.
Supporting all activities necessary to ensure the organisation meets its responsibilities to safeguard and protect people at risk accessing the Trust.

- Experience of working with vulnerable groups and managing cases of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence
- Experience of safety planning and working with the wider partnership, including experience in MARAC
- Experience of managing / responding to distressing and sensitive situations

- Ability to write reports, data summaries and undertake audits
