Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Divisional General Manager for Surgery at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
This is a key position within the Division's leadership team. Reporting to the Divisional Director and Chief Operating Officer, the Divisional General Manager will be responsible for operational service delivery for the Division.
Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the Divisional Director and Divisional nurse, be responsible for operational service delivery for the Division of Surgery across all Trust sites.
Responsible for the provision of timely access to care, ensuring delivery of the Divisional annual activity plan and national access standards.
Ensure active Divisional engagement in the delivery of key improvement programmes, such as theatres and outpatients.
Provide visible, compassionate leadership to all Divisional staff

- Proven track record of leading teams / services through the annual business planning process, developing activity plans and delivery of the annual activity plan

- Proven track record of successfully managing a significant service budget and delivering a financial improvement / cost improvement programme
