Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent post to join Doncaster and Bassetlaw Foundation trust as the lead Birth in Mind Midwife. This role is to develop and embed the Birth in Mind service for women presenting with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms following childbirth.

Main duties of the job
To provide support and highly specialised advice to women, to co-ordinate their care pathway within maternity, the wider multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies. Education and training will be a key aspect of the role to ensure that relevant staff working across the Trust are competent and confident to support and signpost women appropriate mental health services.
The post-holder will work alongside the Psychology service to provide a stepped care model for women who appraise their birth experience as negative or traumatic to access support. They will work collaboratively with the maternity and psychology team to provide continuous evaluation of the service model and outcomes.
