Job summary

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people within your community? If so, we are looking to recruit a Care Support Worker into Bassetlaw Theatres. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week to fit the service.

We are looking to recruit a enthusiastic and caring individual who is able to work within the operating theatres delivering safe and effective practice.

We will teach you everything you need to know and all we ask is that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support our patients by providing exceptional care. You'll not be doing this alone, you will join one of our dynamic and caring teams. You will work alongside many colleagues which include Healthcare Support workers & registered Nurses to name a few.

Our Care Support Workers provide some of the most personal and fundamental support to our patients so if you feel the above is you then we want to hear from you.

All successful applicants will be expected to contribute to a 24 hour working schedule, including nights, weekends and on-call commitments.

Main duties of the job

Candidates need to show maturity, reliability, flexibility and be highly motivated individuals seeking a challenge and who thrive in a busy team environment - you must be committed to co-operative team working at all times.

It's really important to consider that some aspects of healthcare work can be distressing and unpleasant. You will be expected to help patients with personal care without being embarrassed or feeling awkward. You will need to be able to communicate sympathetically with patients, and distressed relatives, and care for patients who are very sick.
