Job summary
To undertake rotations across 4 hospital sites in settings which include: Neurology / Stroke, Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Acute Respiratory Care (Medical/ Surgical / Critical Care), Paediatrics, Integrated Discharge Team and Community.
To manage a clinical caseload within a defined clinical area working autonomously, but with access to advice/support from senior physiotherapy staff.
Physiotherapists work in teams across the Trust in a wide variety of specialisms, each team takes great pride in the service they provide, always striving to provide the best possible quality of care. You will be welcomed as a member of these teams and supported to extend your skills and learning whilst contributing to these services.
Main duties of the job
To provide physiotherapy assessments over a range of conditions, using clinical reasoning skills and techniques to formulate accurate physiotherapy diagnoses.
To contribute to out of hours services.
Good communication skills, and the ability to be flexible are essential.
To participate in the rotational scheme (6 months), which involves working in a range of hospital and community settings across the Health and Social Care Community.
To provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients within a variety of clinical areas as an autonomous practitioner.
To manage own clinical caseload, including prioritisation and delegation of work to physiotherapy assistants.
To assist in the organisation and delivery of physiotherapy services.
To be responsible for self-learning/CPD and actively participate in training and development programmes.
