Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Respiratory Therapy Team as a Respiratory Administrator. The post holder will be based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary with opportunity for remote working and provide support in the proactive management of the administration of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme and Respiratory Physiotherapy Outpatient Service from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire patient journey is seamless.

As a first point of contact for both patients and health care professionals within the trust and wider community setting, you will have an integral role in ensuring that all stakeholders have a sound understanding of our service, providing timely and accurate communication while executing a high level of confidentiality. The successful candidate will have administration experience, possess excellent organisational skills and have proficiency in Microsoft packages and preferably NHS systems.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative tasks relating to the Community Respiratory Physiotherapy Team. The post holder will work as part of a small team and will provide support in the proactive management of the administration of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme and Respiratory Physiotherapy Outpatient Service from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire journey is managed smoothly.

The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, service user focussed and knowledgeable point of contact. To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.
