Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Adult Lead Nurse. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced practitioner that is capable of positively influencing practice and competent to lead Adult Safeguarding at DBTH with support from the Head of Safeguarding and wider team members.
This role will require an in-depth knowledge of adult safeguarding and associated agendas / national guidance including application of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have the skills to drive forward safeguarding adult workstreams.
Main duties of the job
- At all times to work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Maintain registration in accordance with the NMC requirements.
- At all times work to National and local policy relevant to role.
- Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
- Lead role in safeguarding adults.
- Supporting all activities necessary to ensure the organisation meets its responsibilities to safeguard and protect adults at risk accessing the Trust.
