Clinical Administrator in Palliative Care

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical administrator to join the busy Specialist Palliative Care Team, supporting the team Secretary to provide administrative support to the consultant and CNS team. This post also provides administration support for the Acute Oncology service as required. This is a permanent post for 16 hours per week, with flexibility over how these hours are worked.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have efficient audio typing skills, knowledge of medical terminology and previous experience in an administrative role.

A good knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential as the role supports database management and the maintenance of the education database. Other duties include notes retrieval, filing, scanning, and general administrative tasks to support the team.

  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent
  • OCR/RSA level 2 or equivalent in keyboard and typing

  • Business Administration Level 2 or equivalent
