Main duties of the job

The Divisional General Manager will help foster the development of a culture of continuous quality improvement practice across Specialty Medicine and work to redesign care in partnership across Bassetlaw and Doncaster place and in the context of the wider South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System.

The Divisional General Manager manages all non-clinical staff and budgets, and all facilities across Specialty Medicine and is responsible for ensuring effective arrangements for the performance accountability of these staff, their appraisal and personal and professional education and development.

The Divisional General Manager is also responsible for ensuring that there are appropriate arrangements for financial governance for pay and non-pay, income and achieving activity targets.

  • Proven track record of successful and sustained management of large staff groups and services in an NHS Foundation Trust or other large complex organisation
