Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a physiotherapist to join our forward thinking team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals. This post holder will be based across our two main hospital sites (Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw District General), working alongside orthopaedic consultants in acute fracture clinks, as well as supporting the MSK therapy team.
The successful candidates should have extensive post registration experience of which, significant years have been in MSK outpatients. This should also include experience in the management and treatment of acute orthopeadic trauma. The candidate should be keen to develop their own skills and assist with the development of the staff, students and department, including teaching, audit and service development.
The successful candidates must have excellent communication, be able to demonstrate leadership and team working skills as well as being approachable, flexible and well organised. The post holder must be able demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines, problem solve and to prioritise appropriately, while setting high standards of excellence and safety in patient care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience of dealing with patients who have suffered acute orthopaedic trauma. They will provide wealth of expertise for the patients, and help to develop the staff and department. We would expect that the successful candidates will deliver quality care for our patients in line with best practice.
Successful candidates will be involved in delivering training and supervision to more junior physiotherapy staff working within the MSK team,
We are keen to find a candidate who can undertake regular evidence-based audit and research projects/activities to further their own and teams clinical practice.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about acute orthopaedic trauma.

At Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals we deliver acute fracture clinic services at the main hospital sites of Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw District General. We offer MSK outpatient physiotherapy services across a large geographical area including the main hospital sites (Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw District General and Montagu Hospitals) and community hubs (Askern, Edlington, Thorne, Harworth and Retford).
