Job summary
We have an excellent opportunity to join the Acute Therapy Team at DBTH. As an Advanced Therapy Assistant, you will be involved in the care of in- patients requiring therapy assessment and treatment working closely with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists across the patient pathway.
You will be working towards completion of the Advanced Senior Health Care Support Worker Apprenticeship over 20 months.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to work alongside Therapists in the management of some shared patients completing joint assessments, but also independently managing your own patient caseload.
In this role you will be joining an established team of Therapists and Therapy Assistants in order to provide a seamless therapy service for our patients across 7 days.
All Advanced Apprentice Therapy Assistants will complete an induction programme and the Care Certificate upon starting in the role. It is essential you then achieve an Advanced Level 3 Senior Health Care Support Worker qualification within 20 months of commencing this post which includes attendance at Doncaster College 2 days per month as part of the 20% off the job training that will be provided.
This is a supervised post. You will be allocated a mentor throughout the 20 months apprenticeship to supervise and support you with your learning.
