Job summary
As a Medical Secretary we are looking for a dynamic enthusiastic individual who wishes to expand their knowledge with an opportunity in the Clinical administrative support of the Acute Medicine department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to maintain a high standard of administrative support to the Acute medical team ensuring that robust systems are in place for the efficient end to end patient pathway. Ensure that digital transcriptions are managed timely in accordance with Trust expectation. Provide proactive coordination to ensure patients are booked in line with clinical priority and national/local waiting times and to support the best use of capacity for the patient journey.

- Type clinical correspondence using audio dictation to ensure agreed turnaround times are achieved, escalating
- Monitor clinical typing levels escalating to Team Leader where backlogs are developing
- Undertake management of consultant diaries
- Oversee all aspects of the patient pathway
- Ensure all results/correspondence/equipment is made available for clinical activities
- Ensure Inter-Provider Transfers (IPT) are completed/actioned in line with standard operating procedure.
- Provide line managers with performance information in line with PTLs, as required
