Assistant Neuropsychologist
Full-time: 0.6 WTE Permanent

We are pleased to advertise a vacancy for a Senior Paediatric Neuropsychologist post in the Neuropsychology service at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The post would suit a highly motivated individual interested in neuropsychological assessment of children with neurological conditions.
Applicants should have extensive experience in Neuropsychology or related subject, good interpersonal and communication skills, and experience of management of staff. Prior experience of working with individuals with brain injury or neurological conditions is essential, particularly with epilepsy or neurovascular conditions. Ideally, we would welcome applications from QICN holders.
Main duties of the job
The service is involved in clinical research, and data management and research skills will also be valuable.
The post-holder will also be part of the wider Psychological & Mental Health Services in the Trust. There is regular formal supervision and informal support and excellent opportunities for professional development within the Trust.

- Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment, both as a professionally qualified care co-ordinator and also within the context of a multi-disciplinary care plan. Experience assessing/developing & implementing psychological interventions in specialized area
- Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision E A&I Experience of professional management of qualified and pre-qualified clinical psychologists.
- Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts
- Experience of multi-professional management of teams or services within the designated specialty
- Doctoral level knowledge of clinical/educational psychology including highly developed knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology and two or more distinct psychological therapies
