Estates Supervisor

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an Estates Supervisor to join the Great Ormond Street Hospital Estates team.

You will be responsible for supervising works teams in respect of the maintenance, operation, repairs, installation and PPMs. The Supervisor will ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures whilst undertaking all statutory, mandatory and general repairs.

You will manage internal staff and monitor third party contractors to ensure compliance with statutory and NHS legislation and that the service is delivered to the highest possible standard

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for scheduling the tasks issued by the Estates Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System including any follow-up actions and management of day-to-day hand-held devices for each trade person, management of KPI's time P1-P4.
  • Work alongside Fire, Health & Safety Team in meeting compliance and standards through the trust ensuring that responsibilities are met according to HTM compliant.
  • Work alongside Estates Officers in ensuring that there is a contingency plan in place for things such as major incidents and internal emergencies giving expert advice where required and that all on-call services are covered as required.
  • Work alongside Estates Officer to ensure that systems are in place and continually reviewed to be certain of the ongoing and effective delivery.
