Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Nurse to join the expanding nursing team on Nightingale/Woodpecker Wards. If you are looking for a change from the daily routine of an Inpatient Ward setting, wanting to develop your acute nursing skills and like the fact you are not sure what will come through the door next then this is a position for you.Previous Day Care experience is not essential but desired.
Our Unit is open Monday to Friday 07.00-20.00. This post is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract, working 11.5 hour shifts 3-4 days per week.
Main duties of the job
This is a Nurse-Led Unit where we care for the patient from admission through to discharge, developing advanced nursing skills that can be easily transferrable. The Unit is committed to the training and development of staff and each individual is supported by the Senior Nursing Team. This service is constantly expanding, caring for children and young people from birth to 18 years of age from all specialities throughout the hospital.
