Do you want to work in a leading Paediatric Centre and to join our friendly and Child centred Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Team? If your answers to the above are 'Yes', then this position could be for you!This post is to work within the Cardiac Cath Lab Department with rotation with Interventional Radiology therefore peri-operative experience, such as scrub and circulating, would be desirable. However, you will be given training and support in our specialist skills and in peri-operative care. We have an excellent and supportive Practice Education Team who will assist with your orientation and on-going professional development. The Cardiac Catheter Lab and Interventional Radiology run's Monday to Friday 0800- 1800hrs, with a 24h on-call service, including weekends and Bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
The Cardiac Cath Lab carries out many cardiac procedures including ASD/PDA closures, ICD implants and Pacemakers, diagnostic catheters and combined MRI/angio cases in our state of the art Cardiac Cath Lab suite. In addition we provide continuing care to our heart and lung transplant patients.
The Interventional Radiology performs procedures that includes central venous access device insertion, biopsy, airway intervention, feeding device insertion, vascular intervention, angiography, and angioplasty.
