PGME Undergraduate Education Officer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a conscientious and dynamic team player to join the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) department at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The successful candidate will work closely with the PGME Business Manager Corporate, PGME Undergraduate Lead, Head of PGME, and Directors of Medical Education providing high level, comprehensive administrative support in the effective delivery of education programmes, projects.

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, be able to communicate effectively with all staff, students, and our external stakeholders. If you have a passion for education and feel that you have the qualities required, then we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, be able to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels and demonstrate confidence in autonomous working.

GOSH has committed to a comprehensive and ambitious funding plan to deliver a 5 year expansion programme which will increase the quantity and quality of educational activity across the organisation under the banner of the GOSH Learning Academy. The post holder will, therefore, be joining the PGME team at an exciting time, where there is significant opportunity for innovation in medical education. Our aim is to be the first choice for multi-professional paediatric healthcare education, training, and development for the whole workforce, utilising state-of-the-art technology in contemporary learning environments.

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare. GOSH is an acute specialist paediatric hospital with a mission to provide world-class care to children and young people with rare, complex and difficult-to-treat conditions.

Together with our research partner, the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, we form the UK's only academic Biomedical Research Centre specialising in paediatrics.

Most of the children we care for are referred from other hospitals throughout the UK and overseas. There are 60 nationally recognised clinical specialities at GOSH; the UK's widest range of specialist health services for children on one site.
