Head of EDI - Band 8B

Join us as the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and you'll play a key role in the Human Resources and Organisational Development ("HR&OD") function. The first priority of the 5 year strategy 'Above and Beyond' commits to making GOSH a great place to work by investing in the wellbeing and development of our people. This vision will be realised through ambitious programmes of work around health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and staff engagement.

We have made good progress to implement our D&I framework called 'Seen and Heard' and have developed strong staff networks to support us. In this role you will partner with senior leaders across GOSH to deliver on the strategy, and using D&I data and insights to ensure the four work streams are project managed through to completion. Working with the Diversity and Inclusion OD Partner and Associate Director of OD, you will champion our 'making GOSH a great place to work' team ethos and engage key stakeholders including our staff union representatives and our 4 staff networks to drive the agenda.

Main duties of the job

o o The Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion involves the provision of strategic leadership to advance EDI initiatives within the Organisation. Fostering an inclusive workplace, driving cultural change and ensuring compliance with local and national policies and legislation.o Continuous work to analyse various data sources and identifying areas for improvement, engaging with underrepresented groups and fostering partnerships with external organisations, promoting fairness, equity and inclusion across all aspects of the organisations operations by providing the expertise required.o To create a dynamic workforce EDI culture by bringing together managers, staff, networks, corporate functions to create a strong foundation for EDI strategy in the Trusto To manage relationships at a senior level ensuring excellent communication and working relationships are maintained and relevant information and data is available to demonstrate delivery of EDI work programme
