Job summary
We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Arabic Translator to join our Arabic & Interpreting & Translating Service in the International & Private Care Directorate at the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
Applicants must have demonstrable experience as a Translator, ideally in a healthcare setting, and must have translation qualification. Those without experience and qualification need not apply. Applicants must be fluent in Arabic and English and able to communicate effectively in both languages; be strong team players with proven commitment to providing a high-quality service and are able to work under pressure and be creative in using their own initiative.

Main duties of the job
The main function of the role of the Arabic Translator is to enable effective and accurate communication in order to facilitate a therapeutic relationship between the patient and/or family and healthcare providers based within I&PC Division and where necessary Trust-wide. As such, the Arabic Translator will share the healthcare team's central interest which is to support the health and wellbeing of the patient and family. This will be done through translating vital material that benefit both the children as well as their families and the healthcare providers.
