Job summary

An opportunity for a motived nurse or operating department practitioner to join the Practice Education team as a Practice Facilitator for the Operations and Images Directorate.

In Operations and Images, we cover a wide range of clinical services including Anaesthetics, Scrub, Recovery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheter Lab, Pre-Assessment, Nurse-Led Sedation Unit and our Admissions & Day Surgery Wards. We also have the specialised Central Venous Access Team and the Pain Management Team.

Main duties of the job

We're looking for a multi-skilled practitioner who is able to support the range of clinical services within the directorate. The successful candidate will work with the rest of the education team to support the clinical teams with providing education, support and training. They will work with new members of staff, student and apprentice nurses/ODPs, qualified practitioners and healthcare support workers within the clinical environment. They will help staff to identify and achieve competencies within their scope of practice. Ideally, the successful candidate will be skilled in different areas of preoperative, intraoperative and/or postoperative care.
