Job summary

Are you passionate about education? Do you enjoy working with and supporting student nurses and newly registered practitioners?

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated registered children's nurse to come and work in the field of clinical education. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical settings, be well supported in a small and friendly team of nurse educators, and actively encouraged to further your development in the role.

Main duties of the job

  • To support and develop registered and unregistered workforce working within GOSH
  • Promote high standards of care through role modelling the demonstration of clinical expertise, leadership and professionalism
  • To work along-side the Practice Educator of the work stream, assisting in the delivery of effective programmes and courses to ensure that compliance is monitored and evidenced.
  • Assist in the design, delivery and evaluation of courses and programmes
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment in the classroom, simulation and clinical areas where staff development is encouraged and supported and talent is fostered and enhanced
  • Work within the Nursing and Patient Experience Team to deliver the learning and development requirements of the Trust nursing vision and registered and unregistered workforce to be responsive to on-going issues arising in relation to patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience
  • Work trust-wide supporting the Practice Educators in practice development service improvement and organizational transformation to deliver the trusts vision and objectives
