Job summary
This role is for 6 months to join the Performance Team at Great Ormond St. Central to the operation of the Trust. The post holder will be responsible for delivering performance analytics for core clinical and management activities within the Trust. They will also need to support internal data-based initiatives and the delivery of reporting to the Trust's external stakeholders including statutory reporting requirements.
This is a varied and challenging post, suited to an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal organisational and analytical skills, with a logical approach to problem solving. You should have an in-depth knowledge of NHS data, experience of using Business Intelligence tools and Microsoft Excel to an advanced level. The ability to analyse and report on complex data is an essential skill together with knowledge of developing data visualisation using a variety of tools and techniques. You will be innovative in your approach, have the ability to work on your own initiative and have a professional and positive outlook with the flexibility to embrace change.
Main duties of the job
Performance Management
- Support on the delivery of the Trust's performance management framework with regards to two of the eight Operational Directorates within the Trust
- Support the Performance team to deliver the Trust's reporting requirements accurately and on time, for both statutory submissions and internal performance reports
- Lead on the production and analysis of the Integrated Performance Dashboard for those specific Operational Directorates
- Lead on a defined portfolio of performance measures across the Trust in collaboration with the Performance Team ensuring these are always relevant and reflect local and national directives
- Support with the development and on-going improvement of the Trust's Integrated Performance Dashboard for the Trust Board and Clinical Directorates understanding requirements and tailoring appropriately.
- Have a detailed knowledge of guidance or instruction from NHS England, Department of Health and others to support the application and interpretation effectively across the Trust to support the performance framework.
