Job summary
The opportunity has arisen for a permanent post for the role of Band 7 Team Leader Radiographer in General X-ray.
This is an ideal position for those who enjoy the dynamic and fast paced workload in x-ray but also those who wish to gain experience and insight into leadership and management. This opportunity will advance your skills with training in CBCT and leading and reporting on your own speech and language dysphagia lists. You will also work alongside myself in staff training, delivering audits and enhancing protocols to maintain the high standards we all work towards.

Main duties of the job
- To carry out clinical duties on all aspects of general paediatric radiography including dental and fluoroscopy as per departmental protocol set out within the Ionisation Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations 2017 guidelines and Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017.
- To- organise the daily workload for the general's area and Fluoroscopy. Prioritising requests to ensure patients are seen efficiently and in a timely manner
- To ensure sufficient staff with appropriate skill-mix is allocated to own area for the safe operation of the equipment and patient safety daily.
- To take responsibility for the induction and training of new radiographic staff in own area ensuring the expected competency level is reached.
- To monitor staff performance ensuring a high standard is maintained
- To supervise student radiographers on elective placement with the Trust
- To be familiar with departmental administration systems. To carry out clerical duties related to radiographic work ensuring accurate data entry into EPR.
- To promote good working relationship and teamwork with the multi-disciplinary team within Radiology
