Health Care Assistant - Band 3 - Permanent Post 18.75 hours per week

Blood, Cells and Cancer- Safari Day care and Outpatients

Safari Ward is the Haematology/Oncology Day Care and Outpatient unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We provide a high quality of care to our patients and their families who are receiving treatment for Cancer and non-malignant conditions.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Health Care Assistant with excellent communication skills to provide compassionate care to patients with a variety of needs within Haematology/ Oncology.

Main duties of the job

As a HCA you will:

  • Contribute to the provision of safe and effective care to patients under supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
  • Practice in accordance with the GOSH trust Values
  • Perform within boundaries of the role and follow the trust policies and procedures
  • Support nurses in the provision of the safe and caring environment.

The successful candidate will be organized, confident, caring and able to work effectively with our clinical teams. You will have abundant learning opportunities to develop special knowledge and skills and under take further training. The Trust supports personal and professional development.

We are open Monday-Friday daytimes so you will not be required to work nights or weekends.
