Job summary
The post holder will work as a response practitioner and will be responsible when called to assess and deliver emergency medical care to our population within HMP Peterborough, the successful candidate will also be expected to attend non urgent calls on the wing(s) to evaluate patients to determine their medical needs. You will be familiar with using onboard equipment to support to deliver care for example to include defibration, resuscitation.
The post holder will ensure the provision of delivery is practice based research that brings high quality care to patients in HMP Peterborough in accordance with local and national policies.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake various duties, these include screening patients in reception and on the wings, triaging patients and holding secondary screening clinics.
The post holder will be an integral part of the team they will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication and manage court returns and releases
