The post holder will contribute significantly to the secured services team, delivering essential pharmacy support to residents within custody and immigration removal centres. Reporting to the Lead Pharmacist - HMP Peterborough, they will assist Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical services. This includes supporting medicines management, primary care, health promotion, and patient education to meet residents' unique healthcare needs in secured settings.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

o Provide clinical and professional support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

o Work closely with the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care and services.

o Support the management of medicines and maintain accurate records.

o Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

o Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, the post holder will help ensure patients receive compassionate, trauma-informed care within the constraints of secure environments, always upholding security protocols and patient confidentiality.
