Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHFT secured services at HMP Peterborough, who will deliver all of healthcare services across the male and female prison estates. This includes primary care, substance misuse, mental health, and perinatal care. The post holder would be working as an active member of the NHFT team, working across the services provided. We recognise that many individuals have experienced a multitude of traumatic experiences. This role will be about embedding a trauma informed compassionate care model of delivery of care. You will be working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified Psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. You will assist in clinically related administration, conduct audits, collect statistics, develop audit/and or research projects, teaching and project work.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing support for services users on the perinatal mental health pathway delivering assessments and psychological interventions under the supervision of the qualified Psychologist. You will be required to work with other client groups too such as those with substance misuse and mental health problems.
Main duties of the job
Key areas of responsibility will be to work under supervision of the Principal Psychologist to:
Support assessments of psychological needs of clients, gathering and collating relevant information
To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment/management of service users mental health concerns
To assist in the co-ordination and running of groups
Support appropriate record keeping, audit, policy and research as required
To undertake data collation, analysis and report production relevant to field of work
Assist in the development and delivery of psychological interventions and evaluations
Assist in the development of psychological information and intervention materials
Assist with the integration of all services delivered and the development of an integrated trauma informed service
Work within professional codes of conduct
