We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Recovery Support Worker to work as an integrated part of the Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Team in Northamptonshire. By joining our team you will experience working in specialist environments and develop skills in working with hard to reach groups.
This role has multiple bases including Criminal Justice Centre Brackmills, Weekly Wood Justice Centre Kettering, Northamptonshire Courts and county wide community setting.
The role of the Liaison & Diversion Recovery Support Worker is to work in partnership with Police, Probation, His Majesty's Court and Tribunal Service and Third Sector organisations to assist in the screening and assessment of offenders pre and post charge in Police Custody, Magistrates Courts and other Criminal Justice locations.
Main duties of the job
The Liaison & Diversion Service is an all age, all vulnerability model and will screen identified individuals and advise partner agencies on their needs and the potential impact on their offending behaviour to help identify appropriate custodial or alternative to custody options. The Recovery Support Worker will demonstrate an understanding of health needs of offenders and will work closely alongside partner agencies to promote the safety and the well- being of offenders, their families/carers and the wider public.

The post holder will assist in the engagement of the service user to meet their health needs within the community and support our Voluntary Attendance Pathway
This service operates 7 days per week between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00. We are seeking a recovery support worker to join us for 37.5 hours per week for a fixed term 12 month position.
