Job summary
Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT) is contracted to provide the award-winning Inspires Service, in partnership with HMP Swinfen Hall, based near Lichfield, Staffordshire. The prison holds male prisoners aged 18-28 years old, serving long sentences (4 years and over).
Inspires is part of the National Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and works collaboratively with the prison to deliver a residential assessment and treatment service, Delta Enabling Environment (DEE), a Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) and Enhanced Support Service (ESS) for prisoners with personality difficulties and a (NRTS) Non-residential treatment service.
Inspires provides a compassion focused approach in recognising the impact of trauma, deprivation, disempowerment of adverse childhood experiences in the development of persistent patterns of problematic relationships and behaviours.
We work with both individuals and in group settings using psychologically informed, occupational and creative interventions and complete assessments, formulations, case reviews in working towards reducing reoffending. This is in partnership with HMPPS team, wider healthcare, our service-users and other agencies to deliver an integrated model.
Main duties of the job
The Inspires Service has been recognised by HMIP as "The flagship" for young male adults within the Offender Personality Disorder pathway. All services are working towards achieving Enabling Environment status ensuring quality & demonstrating that we are achieving an outstanding level of best practice in creating a positive and effective social environment.
Clinical and Strategic Leadership of the Inspires Service at HMYOI Swinfen Hall and management of the team offering the service
Working in partnership with HMPSS to ensure the smooth operational delivery of the service
Clinical supervision and management of the team delivering the service
Meeting the requirements of the service specification to meet the needs of the population and OPD spec.
