Job summary
To work as a senior member in an exciting service which has been set up since 2021 and is expanding across Northamptonshire; the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). MHST's are working within schools, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. You will be a team lead across our 10 existing teams and CWP Pathway, managing the teams operationally and supporting the MHST/CWP Clinical and Team Lead. The teams are made up of Assistant EMHPs, Trainee and qualified Educations Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), Mental Health Practitioners/supervisors, CBT therapists and administrative colleagues. You will be expected to offer management supervision to staff, be involved with the collating and analysing of data and reports as required and deputise operationally for the MHST/CWP Clinical & Team Lead. The MHST Clinical & Team Lead has the operational and clinical oversight of the service and is the post this role would directly report to.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will support the teams to provide a high-quality service to children and young people (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will be done through the supervision of staff and implementation of service improvement, supporting participation and co-production work with children and young people and supporting the organisation of the Whole School Approach work. You will be expected to utilise your knowledge of participation, co-production work, Whole School Approach and CaMHS services to develop the service. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards. The Team Lead will be responsible for the development of the day-to-day management of the teams. The teams operate Monday-Friday 9am- 5pm, excluding Bank Holidays.
The Team Lead will work with the MHST/CWP Clinical and Team Lead and other senior colleagues, ensuring delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient Early Intervention Service. To support the development and implementation of integrated pathways alongside colleagues within NHFT and external partners to support a seamless service delivery built around children and young people. Meeting key performance indicators and quality schedules and to provide operational support to the MHST/CWP Clinical and Team Lead.
