Job summary
Due to an internal promotion we are looking to recruit an outstanding leader into the service manager position for the Perinatal Mental Health and Maternal Loss Psychology Service. The post holder will have responsibility for the management of the services that will provide high quality, evidence based interventions to women during the perinatal period.
Please note, as part of the interview process, your will be required to attend a virtual Stakeholder Panel interview on Monday 21st October and a formal face to face interview on Tuesday 22nd October.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide a genuine opportunity for you to develop your management skills and make a difference.
You'll have substantial management experience within the NHS, and significant experience of working with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service improvement. We'd like to see a real passion for Perinatal Mental Health services, and the difference they can make to women and birthing people and their families. It is an exciting role and we believe it will provide a talented and ambitious manager with real scope to develop and influence practice.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and will be part of the "on call" and "out of hours" arrangements for the Trust

Job responsibilities
- To take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the service; ensuring that all key performance indicators are met
- To put in place and monitor arrangements for partnership working among the sectors
- To lead the development of integrated pathways for patients accessing the service and other community interventions
- To work towards an agreed service model, developing clinical structures, recruiting staff and operationalising the service in line with Long Term Plan ambitions for perinatal mental health
- To develop robust interagency relationships with key agencies supporting the development of integrated care
- To develop and implement integrated working specifically enhancing pathways for patients and carers whose pathway involves more than one mental health team
- To ensure Service Users and Carers are included in all the work the service
- Establishing and maintaining an effective Operational Management Team with those direct reports that ensures that the operational teams and the wider service are supported at all
- Responsible for the immediate line management of service staff performance, including recruitment, sickness, mandatory training compliance
- Ensuring effective training, ongoing professional development and professional supervision is maintained for all staff within the service
