Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join the multi professional staff team at the Urgent Care & Assessment Team (UCAT) based at St Mary's Hospital, Kettering.
The Urgent Care and Assessment Team (UCAT) forms part of the extended Community Mental Health Service and responds to the mental health need within our locality. The applicant should be available to work shifts, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and willing to participate as a member of the multi professional team providing Intensive Home Treatment to service users in the acute phase of a mental illness.
We are seeking a proactive andenthusiastic individual highly skilled in assessment, risk assessment and management, effective decision making and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the teams commitment to a recovery based approach promoting social inclusion and collaborative working. In addition to these requirements a passion for forming good working relationships with colleagues as well as other agencies is necessary. The role includes shift coordination, delegation of duties, prioritising and problem solving, mentoring junior staff, supporting the wider MDT and ensuring we maintain high standards of care delivery.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will need to have genuine interest in working within a multi-disciplinary team providing assessments and treatment for the defined group of individuals and will have experience of working with people who have mental health difficulties.
