Job summary
The Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health and HIV Service (NISHH) are looking to appoint to a countywide role for a Clinical Operations Support Officer role. This post is specifically to support the Clinical Consultants, Senior Nurses and Service Manager on the delivery of the operational aspects of the day-to-day clinical service across Northamptonshire.The post covers the specialties of Genitourinary Medicine, HIV Medicine, Contraception and Sexual Health, Outreach . This post acts as a bridge between the Specialist Ambulatory Service Manager and existing Hub administrators to ensure smooth running and management of administrative functions, including use and oversight of the iDox/Lilie clinical system. The post holder will work closely with the Medical Information Officer to ensure reporting is relevant and analysed, and will support the Service Manager to ensure reporting is ready for commissioners as requested.
Assist the Lead consultants to roll out current, new and adjusted SOPs and clinical pathways within NISHH as the service flexes with service model changes.
Provide operational support for the NISHH clinical studies and service change initiatives with appropriate review and support development of standard operating procedures
Have oversight of recall of patients in a timely manner to assist with treatment and reduce onward transmission of infection.
Main duties of the job
To assist streamlining current in-houses procedures around STI testing results processes with the external pathology providers. This will include pathology laboratory liaison around results and flow, quality control and incident reporting.
Work with the countywide -lead consultant and the medical information officer to design and implement a programme to train, audit, and enhance compliance of staff with clinical documentation including electronic patient records (EPR). This will include correct Lilie episode assignment, GUMCAD and HARS to support reporting of key performance indicators.
Provide support to Senior Hub Administrators for EPR-related administration eg, online booking, setting up new users, basic incident reporting.
Attendance at and input into meetings for: service leads, internal operations, pathology, data performance, EPR administration
Support to the consultants and senior nurses to bring complex clinical and operational aspects together to ensure smooth flow of existing and new developments.
Line management of senior administrators including appraisals and supervision.
Oversight of internal data quality management and reporting and support submission of statutory HARS and GUMCAD reporting with admin support
Coordination of production and supply to service manager, and filing of commissioner datasets and workbooks.
Project support for inhouse IT developments in conjunction with medical information officer and service manager.
