Job summary

The role of Communications Manager is an integral part of the Communications team at NHFT, You will be responsible for internal communications, supporting to ensure our workforce and key internal stakeholders have the best experience of working her at NHFT.

Working as part of the internal and corporate communications sub-team, you will closely support the head of internal and corporate communications to manage and deliver high-level communications projects, as well as maintain and develop core internal communications channels, to meet the needs of our workforce, team NHFT. You will also support with our wider internal communications for and with the workforce of other organisations we support and partner with.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement communications plans in alignment with Trust (or partners) strategy, culture and priorities to achieve results with identified
  • Manage the communications needs of key stakeholder teams, functions and individuals.
  • Lead on the maintenance of internal communications channels and champion best practice processes to ensure consistently high standards, including forward planning of channel timescales and content.
  • Gather insights and carry out regular evaluation to inform development of channels and working practices in order to provide continuous improvement to meet evolving audience and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage other communications professionals and uphold a leadership role within the wider communications team to support meeting the team's overall objectives.
  • Adhere to our core team processes and role model excellent practice and stakeholder management.
  • Be a trusted authority on particular areas of the Trust and partners, immersing yourself in the needs issues and realities of those areas and working as an ambassador to ensure appropriate communications and other stakeholder support.
  • Use of well-established experience and industry standard disciplines and methods to plan, deliver and evaluate communications.
