Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for experienced Registered Mental Health nurses who are Non-Medical Prescribers (NMP) within the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) West of Northamptonshire based between Danetre Hospital, Daventry and Campbell House, Northampton.
We are looking for qualified NMP's or soon to be qualified NMP's with demonstrable skill, enthusiasm, and compassion to work with service users who have a range of complex mental health needs who is focussed on supporting service user to recover.
We are advertising for Band 7 NMP's that can fulfil the requirements of the role. We are also seeking Band 6 NMP's who are looking for a development opportunity into the Band 7 role. Successful Band 6 NMP applicants will be supported through a set of clinical and clinical leadership competencies. Successful completion of the competencies would mean that the candidate progresses into the Band 7 NMP role.
Community Mental Health Teams aim to provide planned and effective mental health treatment alongside the service user, their carers and other services in line with the goals of the service user. The CMHT ensures service users needs are met by using mental health support services across the breadth of the community. You will be a key person to ensure this is delivered by working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for service users.
Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the team, you will be able to provide clinical leadership and guidance to others and support clinical service improvements.
You will someone who can make a significant contribution to a service users recovery through your clinical ability and leadership. You will be able to deliver effective assessment, risk management and evidenced based mental health treatment alongside pharmacological interventions to service users who will have varying levels of complexity. You will be able to support other members of the CMHT to deliver effective mental health treatment.
You will be able to manage your time effectively and will run your own planned NMP clinics. You will ensure service users receive a high quality service and have ability to adapt to manage competing demands.
