Job summary
Healthcare Assistants make a difference every day to the lives of the patients they see. We are proud of our Healthcare Assistants who provide increasingly complex care for patients and ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently within our Community Inpatient Wards.
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants with a passion for high quality care to work within our Community Beds Service at (INSERT WARD & TOWN). The post holder will implement care interventions for patients under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, supporting patient focused goals and patient safety.

Main duties of the job
Working life
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll
- Provide quality care for a group of patients, specialising in rehabilitation and sub-acute care.
- Providing personal care, dressing, moving, and handling to patients
- Providing nutritional support to patients.
- Recording patient's physical observations & ECG recordings
- Communicating with patients, families and other colleagues and documenting care provided.
The service aims to provide an excellent standard of care that supports patients across our communities. In Northamptonshire you will work as part of a multi- disciplinary team in order to support the service and focus on delivering quality outcomes and improving the patient experience. You'll play a vital role in providing high quality of care over the 24/7 period that meets the needs of the patients.
The Community Beds Team consists of a Service Manager, Ward Matrons, Therapy Leads, Medics, Nurses, Physiotherapist, Healthcare Assistants, Rehabilitation Assistants and Administrative staff.

You will need to be adaptable and resourceful. You'll need to be well organised, confident and able to cope in diverse situations to deliver patient care. Leadership and management skills are also important, as with all Therapy roles, communication skills,problem solving, and good judgement are crucial.
You will be part of caring team and be able to work flexibly with minimum supervision, with the ability to prioritise work based on the patient need.
