Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist

Job summary

Main duties of the job

You will have had significant experience of autonomous clinical decision making in high risk patient caseload, in particular active diabetic foot disease and have experience of working within a well-established Diabetes Foot Protection programme and have in-depth knowledge of current NICE Guidance and current relevant NHS experience. You will be looking to develop your knowledge, skills and experience within diabetic foot disease to expert practitioner status.

You will be able to evidence examples of team leadership, excellent communication skills and high levels of demonstrable team working.

You will be required to work within an established team including the multi-disciplinary Diabetic Foot Team .

Support and mentoring will be offered to enable completion of an individual prescribing qualification.

You will be responsible to the Clinical Lead for the Specialist Diabetic foot team
