If yes to these questions you may be interested in an opportunity that has arisen for experienced mental health practitioners within the North of Northamptonshire, base primarily within the Kettering and Corby area to be part of the Structured Clinical Management (SCM) Team.
This is an exciting time to join Mental health Services in NHFT. We are currently undergoing a transformation in the way we deliver Community Mental Health Services which means more localised working and also more psychological interventions. We will be committed to your development and as an SCM worker you will have regular access to supervision both group and individual.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Community Mental Health (CMHT) teams and the Northants Personality Disorder Hub. You will provide the delivery of Structured Clinical Management (SCM). We have established community SCM treatment programmes within NHFT and full training will be provided.
This post will provide support to CMHT's in the north of the county to enhance the effectiveness of treatment for individuals with a personality disorder. The post holder will be supported to work with individuals and make a significant contribution to the understanding of the diagnosis of personality disorder, support others to further develop therapeutic skills (e.g. in sharing and discussing information about diagnosis, goal setting, analysing crisis behaviour, and identifying and addressing barriers to discharge), and contribute to discharge planning within an SCM treatment programme.
Psychological formulation, reflective practice and an investment in on-going professional development are embedded in our approach and the post holder will also have the opportunity to continue to expand their own knowledge and skills by contributing to the delivery of therapeutic programmes offered by the service.

You will be working with a range of staff from professional backgrounds (currently nursing, occupational therapy, and clinical psychology) and staff are encouraged to maintain professional links. This post will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a small, supportive and highly motivated team whilst primarily being based at St Marys Hospital in Kettering.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide Clinical Leadership and will act as Care Programme Coordinator (CPA) in the community with individuals (and their support networks) who have complex mental health problems. To assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate treatment packages in line with service policies providing comprehensive care packages to those individuals who are experiencing problems with mental health.
To supervise and support junior practitioners/students within a designated locality.
The role also involves the training and education of relevant others and developing a working relationship between the service and its partners and various agencies within Northamptonshire.
As a member of the specialist Community Mental Health Team, you will ensure you will deliver the highest standard of care, through maintaining the quality of own work by developing own skills and knowledge, making changes to practice and contributing to the development of others within the team.
Contribution to service improvement is a necessity of the role, through participation in implementation of improvements and changes to practice.
Within the workplace the individual must monitor and maintain the health and safety of both self and other and also support equality and diversity.
