Job summary
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Plumber; with core plumbing skills to join the Trusts directly employed labour force to provide the day-to-day reactive service, planned maintenance works & contract works across the Trust estate.You will be expected to have a wide range of plumbing maintenance experience and proven skills & knowledge together with a multi-skilled approach to maintenance tasks.You will have served a recognised Plumbing apprenticeship and be qualified to City & Guilds Craft or Technicians Certificate, NVQ3 or equivalent and have a Current Gas Safe registration. You will also have been a fully time served plumber with a minimum of 3 years' post apprenticeship experience. Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Professionally the post holder will be expected to uphold the Trust's PRIDE values and behaviors and behave in a manner befitting the responsible position of the role and in the best interests of the patients we serve.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic time served apprentice trained maintenance plumber who, having gained significant experience are at the top of their profession but who are also willing to take the hands on technical lead on a range of duties.
Apprentice trained experienced maintenance plumbers who fit the above criteria and who are looking for a rewarding career with a forward thinking organisation would be ideal for this posts. Applicants need to be self-motivated skilled experienced craftsperson with good organisational skills and able to take the lead on specific maintenance, project and reactive situations. The post is critical in maintaining a safe and appropriate physical environment for our patients, visitors and staff.
