Job summary

This exciting position to be the Psychologist within the Community Forensic Team in Northamptonshire will provide psychological therapy, risk formulation and be part of the multi disciplinary team to work with partners in supporting people with mental illness and offending behaviour.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the designated Clinical/Counselling/ Forensic Psychologist working within the Community Forensic Team and in close co-operation with key agencies (e.g. Police, Probation, MAPPA, NHFT Community Teams -PCART's/Criminal Justice Team/Community Team for people with LD), the post holder will provide a flexible, responsive and proactive programme of care and support for a defined caseload, to people experiencing severe and enduring mental illness who also have a history of high risk and offending behaviour/s.

About us

Working as a member of the Community Forensic Team, the post holder will support the team in managing an allocated Caseload, tracking of Northamptonshire patient's placed in NHS England's secure settings, working closely with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to produce formal reports, as well as joint working with Learning Disability Services (LD/Forensic Pathway).
