Job summary

The Clinical Psychology development post offers a great opportunity for a newly qualified psychologist to progress from a Band 7 into a band 8a Clinical Psychologist.

Core CAMHS is a county wide service offering mental health treatment to the county of Northamptonshire. The service offers assessment, formulation and treatment to those children & young people who present with moderate to severe mental health needs.

A welcome award of £5000 pro rata is offered for this post, £2000 within your first salary! A further £2,000 after completing 12 months service followed by £1,000 after completing 18 months.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified psychologist to work within our Core CAMHS service, with the opportunity to develop professionally and progress onto a band 8a as there will be a development plan with support and supervision in place. The successful candidate will be part of a wider multi-professional team which includes Clinical Psychology, Psychiatrists, Therapists, Family Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

The service offers different pathways of care and evidence based/informed intervention which will be an excellent opportunity for any successful candidate to receive further training.
