Specialist Speech & Language Therapist - Voice/ ENT
WTE 1.0 Band 6
Band 6 - £32,306 - £39,027 pa pro rata
We have an exciting opportunity to join our established friendly and supportive Speech and Language therapy service. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced speech and language therapist who is passionate about voice disorders and working within the ENT voice disorder pathway to deliver complex and specialist care.
Main duties of the job
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, yet thrive on working as a valued member of a multi-disciplinary team. There will be opportunity to be involved in specialist voice clinics run with ENT as well as support and supervision from senior colleagues working within the pathway. You will possess excellent interpersonal and team-working skills and approach your work with energy and enthusiasm. There will also be opportunity to work in General community Clinics to develop dysphagia and communication skills.
The post-holder will be supported to continue development and demonstration of leadership behaviours and will be encouraged to pro-actively contribute to the on-going development of the service. You will be expected to provide support to colleagues, SLT Assistant Practitioners and students.
All staff are encouraged to attend regular team meetings, countywide staff meetings, in house clinical forums as well as regional voice forums. The service promotes a strong culture of clinical supervision. Professional development is encouraged through membership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks, in-house and external training courses and is monitored through annual appraisal.
