Job summary
NHFT is really excited to be piloting a CAMHS Intensive Outreach Service within Northamptonshire, come and join us in developing this new team and enhancing the CQC Outstanding Services we offer.
The CAMHS Intensive Outreach team will offer Intensive Home Treatment for young people across Northamptonshire. The team will be attached to the CAMHS Inpatient provision, offering assessment, risk management and stabilisation. The CAMHS inpatient knowledge and expertise of managing Tier 4 admissions will be utilised to inform the interventions and management strategies.
This will be a multi-disciplinary approach working closely with, CAMHS Crisis, Community CAMHS, Community Eating Disorders Team and the DBT-A team. Community Services will remain involved with the young person and offer step down once the young person has stabilised.
The Intensive Outreach Team will be based within the existing CAMHS Inpatients portfolio. As well as offering admissions avoidance and home treatment the team will offer step-down from CAMHS Inpatients, to reduce length of admission and/or to offer a more intensive approach on discharge if required.
Applicants will be required to work a rotational shift pattern and be able to work flexibly to offer bespoke individualised packages of support. Experience of working with young people who have eating disorders is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job
To provide assessment, home treatment and stabilisation for young people in the community as part of the Intensive Outreach Team. You will be required to work flexibly to support young people to avoid hospital admission and offer bespoke, individualised packages.
To provide consultation, supervision and support to other clinical members of the team who provide care and treatment.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines.
