Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Gynaecology Outpatient team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. You would be able to support all clinical activities and undertake nurse led clinics within the department. These will mainly focus on early pregnancy, recurrent miscarriage and pessary clinics for pelvic organ prolapse.
Main duties of the job
A Band 6/7 (Depending on experience) Sister/Charge Nurse must take a key role in the management and leadership of the gynaecology unit. As a registered, accountable, and autonomous nurse to always act in the best interests of your patients and take personal responsibility for your actions and decisions. To be responsible for patient assessment, planning of care, giving, and supervising safe and compassionate care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care. As an NMC registrant facilitate learning and development of all staff and students. You will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be open, transparent, and trustworthy. As a Trust employee act with integrity and uphold the values and beliefs of the Trust and the NMC Code of Conduct. You should hold a Bachelors Degree Level qualification in Adult Nursing or Midwifery. It is desirable to hold post graduate certificates in Advanced history taking and physical assessment & Non medical prescribing. It would also be desirable to hold a post graduate certificate in Medical ultrasound in gynaecology and first trimester scanning.
