An exciting opportunity has become available in the Adult Safeguarding Team for Band 6/7 Adult Safeguarding Practitioner. Working in the Safeguarding Team you will join an enthusiastic, driven and caring team, to help provide support to our adult patients.
The Adult Safeguarding Practitioner is a key position within our Adult Safeguarding team where you will be support the Adult Safeguarding arena which includes:
- Adult Safeguarding
- Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS)
- Domestic Abuse and Violence (DA)
- Learning Disabilities
- Mental Health Act Administration
Main duties of the job
- To work closely with the Trust's Safeguarding Team in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in Adult Safeguarding
- To act as an Adult Safeguarding role model for Trust staff
- To participate in the operational work of the Safeguarding Team. This may include advice and support to employees, participating in safeguarding strategy meetings or enquiries & Best Interest Meetings
- To support the Safeguarding Teams Education & audit agenda
- To advise Police, Adult Social Care, DoLS Teams and other agencies on safeguarding, mental capacity and DA health matters in an acute setting
To work within the multi-professional, multi-agency arena to protect and promote the welfare of adults at risk of abuse and neglect
