Job summary

The Cellular Pathology department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is a busy, friendly laboratory. We process 25,000 specimens a year, have a non-gynae and OSNA service. We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated person to work as an Associate Practitioner on a two year fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job

Good verbal and written communication skills are essential along with fast, accurate keyboard skills. An ability to follow instructions and demonstrate good manual dexterity. You will need to be physically fit as lifting and handling tasks are part of the role.

Experience of workingin a hospital laboratory is essential. Previous experience of working in a Cellular Pathology laboratory, undertaking basic microtomy, embedding and non gynae preparation is desirable.
