Job summary
To lead and manage the development and delivery of the Trust Managed Learning Environment (MLE) and the education programmes. Overseeing e-learning creation, monitoring and evaluation, the life-cycle of future digital learning projects in line with the Core Skills Framework and looking across all education and workforce training programmes, ensuring that it remains at the cutting edge of educational best practices.
The Training Systems Officer will be a member of the Education Administration team who aim to promote and reinforce a culture of learning and development by creating and developing programmes that enable all staff to carry out their roles.
The Training Systems Officer will be accountable for the administration and co-ordination of all the learning and development opportunities held on our online MLE portal. This includes the installation of new online learning courses, the administration of delegates, e-certification.
You will support the Education, OD&L team and wider Trust departments with timely training data that will feed into reports and give vital insight to department leads, as well as providing analytical information to Education Business Manager based on statutory and mandatory compliance of MLE.
Support will also be provided to the Education Business Manager and other senior members of the Education team. The post holder will manage his/her own workload, but support, advice and guidance given as required to coordinate more complex tasks.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead a team of 3 team members and will support the wider delivery and running of the Education Centre.
Scope out all learning opportunities within the Trust with the creation of online portal and course catalogues;
Accountable for the co-ordination of learning modules and pathways;
Delivering accurate and timely pieces of work to a deadline; utilising quality assurance methods and maintaining strict adherence to local, regional and national procedures and protocols which link back to the Core Skills Framework;
Carry out regular reviews and evaluations on training quality and the data held on the MLE system; using qualitative data provided by the learners;
Working closely with departments to ensure accurate records are held for all staff on MLE;
Support the Education Administration team in the technical developments of wider programmes and associated resources to add value and educational input, improving the impact and efficacy of our training.
